Diagnostics
In nuclear medicine diagnostics, patients are administered radioactive drugs, so-called radiopharmaceuticals. Depending on their pharmacological properties, these accumulate in varying concentrations in the organs or tissues of the person. The radiopharmaceutical then emits a weak radiation that can be detected in PET-CT, SPECT-CT or scintigraphy, depending on the type of examination.
In diagnostics, Isotope Imaging Group offers a range of radiopharmaceuticals, peptides and labelling kits for the fields of scintigraphy, positron emission tomography (PET) and single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT).

Rod & Pin Sources
Rod and pin sources are typically used as calibration sources for scanner set-up and periodic scanner calibration or normalization. They are also used as transmission sources for patient attenuation correction. Custom activities and geometries are available for special orders.

When you purchase a source from ISOTOPE, you get more than a new source. Upon request, we will provide all necessary shipping documents for you to return your spent at no charges.

ISOTOPE Rod, pin and point sources are made of high-quality double-jacketed stainless steel tubes and manufactured under strict NRC, FDA, CE and ISO manufacturing guidelines.
✓ QUALITY
The uniformity of a source is the key to a high-quality scan. Our proprietary manufacturing process ensures one of the most uniform sources available. To prove it, we provide a Uniformity Scan Chart with each source we deliver.
✓ PRECISION LASER WELDED ENDS
Each rod source is hermetically sealed on both ends of the source with a precision laser weld. The laser weld virtually eliminates the possibility of activity leakage to help ensure the safe use of the source.

CYLINDER PHANTOM SOURCES
Cylinder phantom sources are typically used as calibration sources for scanner set-up and periodic scanner calibration in 2D and 3D modes. The radioactive element is uniformly distributed in a cylindrical mold 20 cm in diameter by 19 cm long. Custom activities and geometries are available for special orders
PHANTOM SHIELDS
Phantom Shields are designed to store any standard 20cm PET cylinder phantoms regardless of manufacturer. Steel-jacketed lead is used on the top cover and the sides to attenuate the 511 keV gamma radiation. Sanders Medical Phantom Shields are supplied with four caster wheels and a detachable pull handle for easy movement. Total weight = 144 kg/316 lbs.
